The Age of Apocalypse brought a host of new and difficult challenges to the Garou.
The Red Star’s arrival and everything that came after seemed almost par for the course.
At least until these strangers showed up.
When the silver-haired man named First of Many appeared at the Sept of the Old Man in the Mountain with the dawning of 2011, it seemed odd. And some bad timing. The first twinges of the Gnostic Plague were more important at the time than the warnings of one quiet man.
One by one they came out of the Umbra, with warnings that were unheeded.
With pasts that were erased. With one certainty. Those called the Telos
came from Erebus, and every last one of them had been an enemy of Gaia.
Redeemed coming back from Erebus wasn’t unheard of, but they never looked like this.
Some found their amnesia convenient excuses. (Is it truly redemption if you don’t remember what you did?)
Others were willing to give them a chance… with caveats. (Trust, but
verify.)
Others could not find it in them to forgive or forget, seeing in those calm expressions every painful memory of the Wyrm’s depredations on those they cared about.
The Dark Brigade was barely beaten back, and now here came remnants of that army. To be embraced with open arms?
Not likely.
It’s been some time now, and the mystery of the Telos continues. More of them come out each year. First of Many seems to be living up to his name but is that name a promise… or a warning?
